Lorena Marquez was Aquaman's ally Aquagirl for a time in the DC Universe.
Origin[]
After the city of San Diego sinks into the sea, Lorena Marquez survived and mysteriously gained the power to breathe underwater.
Biography[]
Very little of Lorena Marquez early life has been revealed. A San Diego resident, she was at the San Diego Zoo when an Earthquake sunk the city into the sea, killing thousands including Lorena's family. She was saved by Aquaman and discovered she, and many of the surviving citizens, now were capable of breathing underwater.
