The Batman Family is the name for Batman's collection of close superhero friends and allies in Gotham City.
Origin[]
Beginning with recruiting his sidekick Robin, the superhero Batman slowly collected a close association of friends inspired by Batman's heroism.
History[]
The Golden Age (Earth-Two)[]
The history of Batman's family begins with Batman himself, who began his career alone with only police Commissioner Gordon as his ally. Eventually, Batman recruited a young ward, Dick Grayson, who had been orphaned by criminals, just as he had been. Bruce treated the child as his own son and eventually allowed him to fight crime with him as the superhero Robin. The two became known as the dynamic duo and gained the prestige and respect of Gotham City for their heroics.
