Binary is a superhero in the Marvel Universe and a cosmic energy clone of Captain Marvel.
Origin[]
When Captain Marvel was trapped by a Kree supervillain on a strange world, she formed her photonic energy into an energy duplicate of herself outside of her prison to break her free. Unbeknownst to Captain Marvel, the planet had been seeded with the DNA of Mar-Vell (the first Captain Marvel) and infused with energy from the Phoenix Force. Captain Marvel’s energy duplicate absorbed the DNA and Phoenix energy when she touched the ground and evolved into a sentient energy being. The energy being took Captain Marvel’s old codename of Binary and joined Captain Marvel, learning how to be a human from her.
Biography[]
Binary's origins began when the superhero Captain Marvel found herself trapped on another planet by Kree villain Vox Supreme.
Powers[]
Binary is a cosmic energy being with the power to manipulate and control the energy of stars (specifically white holes). She can fire concussive blasts of photonic energy, fly at near light speeds, and absorb energy. She can alter her energy form to appear human (this form looks almost identical to Captain Marvel’s civilian identity of Carol Danvers)
Due to having Kree DNA, Binary is superhumanly strong.
Binary can generate cosmic flames due to her connection to the Phoenix Force.
