Black Adam is a supervillain (and for a time, a superhero) in the DC Universe and a long time enemy of Captain Marvel. The goal was for him to be the hero that Captain Marvel is now, but the Wizard judged his personality badly and he was banished away in space, because Wizard Shazam cannot remove the super powers he gives, but he found the way back.
Origin[]
Teth-Adam was a hero of ancient Egypt chosen for his purity of spirit by the wizard Shazam to hold his powers. However, Adam eventually became corrupt and power-hungry, becoming the entity Black Adam.
Powers & Abilities[]
Powers[]
- Divine Empowerment/Calling: After his resurrection, Adam was no longer powered by the Wizard, instead he gained his power from six Egyptian deities — Shu, Horus, Amun, Zehuti, Aten and Mehen. Like before, Adam activates these powers by uttering the magic word "Shazam".
- Bless Power Link / Lightning-Induced Power Summoning
- Power of the Ancient Egyptian Gods: Upon saying the magic word, Shazam, Adam can transform into a new body with powers directly granted by the Egyptian Gods
- "S" for the Stamina of Shu (god of the wind and air): Upon his resurrection, Adam was imbued with the stamina of Shu, the Egyptian God of the air and light. Because of this blessing his highly advanced musculature produces almost no fatigue toxins, granting him almost limitless physical stamina during physical activity.
- Self-Sustenance: Because of Shu's blessings, Adam is able to survive without food, water or any other sort of sustenance while in his empowered form.
- Superhuman Stamina
- Superhuman Endurance: His godly metabolism provides him with far greater than human endurance in all physical activities.
- Combat Empowerment
- "H" for the Speed of Heru / Horus (falcon god of revenge, falcons, hunting, the sky, war, the sun, life and pharaohs): Black Adam was bequeathed hyper-speed after his resurrection by the Egyptian God of the sky Horus. He can run 2 times the speed of light (the speed of light is 671,000,000 miles per hour)
- Flight: Due to the blessing of Horus Adam can resist the pull of a planet's gravity and navigate through the sky unaided by technology.
- Superhuman Speed
- Superhuman Agility: Black Adam's agility, balance and bodily coordination are enhanced to superhuman levels.
- Superhuman Reflexes
- "A" for the Strength of Amun / Ammon-Ra / Atum Ra ( Sun god & Ruler of the Egyptian Gods): Black Adam was gifted vast superhuman strength by the King of the Egyptian Gods, Amun. With this power Adam is able to lift tanks with ease, crack stone, and land powerful blows on the likes of Ultraman. He can lift 73 quintillion tons.
- "Z" for the Wisdom of Zehuti/Thoth (god of knowledge, wisdom, magic, ibises, writing, calculation, scribes, knowledge, moon, science, and baboons): Upon his resurrection, Adam was blessed with the wisdom of Zehuti, the Egyptian God of learning.
- Enhanced/Superhuman Senses: Black Adam's senses are far greater than any normal human.
- Enhanced Hearing
- Superhuman Knowledge: Can recall knowledge and facts that he normally should not and/or would not know.
- Clairvoyance: An uncanny awareness of his circumstances that allows him to turn disadvantages into advantages, an understanding of divine interactions with the mortal world.

- Hypnosis: Can hypnotize people as well, through this power.

- Superhuman widsom: Black Adam possesses wisdom beyond the human level, guiding him to make better decisions and improving his intellect. This is shown when Black Adam instinctively saved Adriana Tomaz even without knowing who she was and how important she will be to him in the near future, as well as how he quickly mastered the English and the sarcasm.
- Enhanced/Superhuman Senses: Black Adam's senses are far greater than any normal human.
- "A" for the Power of Aton / Aten (disk of the sun, and an aspect of Ra): After his resurrection, Adam was no longer fueled by the Wizard's magical abilities, but rather the light of Aten, an aspect of the Egyptian sun God Ra.
- Electrokinesis: Black Adam is able to manipulate the magical lightning that fuels his power. He can summon powerful bolts of lightning by yelling "Shazam" and letting the transformative bolt of lightning hit the opponent rather then himself. His lightning was also capable of recharging Flash's powers after he was depleted of energy.
- Electro-Blast: Black Adam can project bolts of powerful arcane lightning from any part of his body. By projecting this energy from his hands, Adam was even capable of harming Wonder Woman.

When Black Adam utters the magic word he not only gains his usual powers but all of his original powers are greater in strength because of the extra power he gains from Isis. The Power of Isis also grants him:
- Nature Control: Ability to control various aspects of nature. Although Black Adam has never used this power, Isis's power grants him control over all of the elements. This power should allow him to summon a mighty wind to sweep across the land, or cause geysers of molten lava to spontaneously rise from the ground.
- Telekinesis: Ability to move objects with the power of the mind.
- Teleportation: The ability to access the Rock of Eternity.
- Inter-dimensional Travel: This can only be used to travel to the Rock of Eternity.

- Mystical Transformation: The ability to transform from a mortal to the entity empowered by the six.
- Advanced Healing: The ability to use the transformative lightning to heal others or ones self instantly.
- In addition, Black Adam could merge his own lightning bolt with all other lightnings on Earth, forming an electrical barrier around the planet; this prevents any mystical attempts to track him and will kill any members of the Marvel Family that crosses the barrier.
