Buffaloman is a supervillain-turned-superhero in the Japanese manga and anime series Kinnikuman.
Origin[]
Buffaloman was once a superhuman who was continually defeated. He eventually struck a deal with the devil himself for power: an incredible increase in power for each defeated foe. After fighting the superhero Kinnikuman, he renounced his pact and decided to fight for justice.
Biography[]
Buffaloman's early life remains largely unknown. It is known that early in his career that Buffaloman had fantastic strength but would consistently lose fights due to his lack of skill. He ended up striking a deal with Satan himself with the promise that for each chojin (another word for superhuman) he killed, he would increase his level of power. Initially, he was measured as having 1,000,000 Chōjin Kyōdo Power (a unit of measurement of superhuman strength), but he eventually killed enough opponents to rise to 10,000,000.
Being considered one of the most evil of all chojin, Buffaloman allied himself with six other evil chojin; Springman, The Mountain, Stereo Cassette King, Atlantis, Mister Khamen and Black Hole. Referred to as the Devil Chojin, their deadly fighting cause them to be banned from the Chojin Olympics, a wrestling tournament for the greatest chojin fighters. After rampaging across the galaxy, they were eventually captured by the Space Police and 100,000 chojin and placed in a giant roach motel floating through space. They were trapped there for many years until inadvertently released by the clumsy but good-hearted chojin superhero Kinnikuman.
