Biography (Toy Story)[]
Toy Story[]
Buzz Lightyear first arrived as a birthday gift for the child named Andy and soon joined Andy's other toys. Believing himself to truly be the character of Buzz Lightyear, he initially viewed Andy's room as a strange world and the other toys as alien inhabitants. Soon, the favorite toy of the room, Woody, became jealous and attempted to trick Buzz into getting hidden for a while to make sure that he goes to camp with Andy and Buzz stayed behind. However, Woody accidentally knocked Buzz out the window and the other toys, believing he tried to off Buzz chased him out as well. Woody decided to rescue Buzz and bring him home, but found it difficult due to Buzz's delusion. Eventually, Buzz came to recognize that he is a mere toy and fell into a deep depression. However, Woody is able to get through to Buzz and tell him the importance of being a toy and what it means for himself and his child owner, Andy. Together the two make a valiant escape and return to Andy.
Toy Story 2[]
Some time later, Woody is accidentally sold at a yard sale, causing Buzz to lead a rescue team to find him and bring him home. By chance during their rescue mission, Buzz is seperated from his friends and his friends mistakenly pick up a new Buzz Lightyear toy. Like him, the new Buzz Lightyear was under the delusion he was the fictional character of the same name and ended up in battle with the toy Emperor Zurg, also under a similar delusion. However, Zurg and the new Buzz end up believing themselves to be father and son and end up making peace. Buzz, meanwhile, returns to help rescue Woody with his friends and return him home.
Toy Story 3[]
Years later, Buzz's owner Andy is about to go to cottage and has decided to keep his old toys in the attic, Buzz included. Buzz and many of the other toys decide instead to sneak into a toy donation box for a daycare, believing they will be played with more there, rather than stagnating in the attic. Buzz and the others arrived and found what seemed to be a warm welcome, only do discover their purpose is to take the brunt of the children's rough play so that the older toys could avoid taking damage. After his attempt to talk reason into the leader of the daycare toys, Lotso Huggins, Lotso instead does a factory reset on Buzz, reverting him to his deluded personality.
Biography (Buzz Lightyear of Star Command)[]
