Cat-Tankerous is a super-villain who appears in the comic book series Darkwing Duck, based on the animated series of the same name.
Origin[]
Mortimer L. Marquand was a school boy with a crush on fellow student Gosalyn Mallard. When Mortimer discovered that she was fighting crime with a super suit, he decided to do the same in the hopes of winning her over When he failed to make a suit, a mysterious package was left for him that gave him the very super suit he wanted. Unfortunately, it also warped his mind and turned him into the villain Cat-Tankerous.
Biography[]
Mortimer L. Marquand's life before becoming the supervillain Cat-Tankerous remains unrevealed. A normal schoolboy, Mortimer had a crush on fellow Gosalyn, only to be heartbroken when he found it unrequited. After seeing the superhero Gizmoduck, Mortimer decided to try to create his own supersuit to impress her, though it turned out poorly.
