Central City was a city founded in Missouri in the 19th century due to it being an important stop for cattle drives. After the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad, it became the first major hub city west of Chicago. A second period of growth occurred during World War I and since has developed into present day.
At a certain point, Barry Allen, a police scientist, was turned into a superhero known as the Flash due to a freak accident.
