The Comet (Robert "Rob" Connors) was a superhero in the DC Comics’ Impact Comics Universe.
History[]
While his parents were brilliant scientists, Rob Connors devoted his life to sports over academics. When an explosion destroyed his parent's home, Rob rushed in to try and save them (not realizing that his parents had been replaced by shapeshifting alien spies). In an attempt to call for help, Rob climbed a radio tower, only for it to collapse and fall on top of him. At that moment an extraterrestrial teleportation beam struck Rob and swapped his mind with one of the shapeshifting aliens that had taken his parents' place, giving him the power to save himself from being crushed. Now in possession of amazing alien powers, Rob was convinced by his girlfriend to become a superhero, the Comet!
Powers[]
Comet can manipulate light energy to fire laser beams, photonic force bolts, or blasts of intense heat. He can focus light into a solid energy shield he calls a halo. He can also use light energy to fly at supersonic speeds.
Comet's alien physiology makes him far stronger than a normal human and also allows him to shapeshift into other people.
