Braal is made entirely out of metal but suffered from poverty, which lead to Rokk leaving his home and parents at the age of 15 to go to Earth to find work and earn money for his family. During his journey to Earth, he and fellow passengers Irma Ardeen and Garth Ranzz used their unique superpowers to save R.J. Brande, a billionaire targeted by assassins. Brande was so impressed with the teenagers, he offered them money and resources to start a superhero team that would come to be known as the Legion of Super-Heroes. Krinn became the leader, taking the name Cosmic Boy.

Powers
Cosmic is from the planet Braal and like every one from his world, he has the ability to control and manipulate magnetic forces. He can attract, repel, or manipulate any objects that have or contain metal. Cosmic Boy uses his Legion flight ring to fly during battle.
