The Crimebusters is a superhero team that existed in the comic book series Watchmen.
Origin[]
The Crimebusters was a superhero team organized by hero Captain Metropolis to fight against perceived threats of the era.
History[]
In 1966, superhero Captain Metropolis envisioned a superhero team intended to be the successor to the Minutemen, the noted superhero team of the 1940s. Metropolis felt that in the decade in a half since the Minutemen's break-up, crime continued to grow and the individual heroes present could do more good together. To this end, he called together a meeting of the pre-eminent superheroes of the era. This included the Comedian, Dr. Manhattan, Ozymandius, Rorschach, Captain Metropolis, the second Nite Owl and the second Silk Spectre.
Members[]
- The Comedian, a former member of the Minutemen noted for his amorality and cynical nature
- Dr. Manhattan, the world's only superhuman and a god-like entity
- The Silk Spectre II - The daughter of the Silk Spectre, an original member of the Minutemen
- Nite-Owl II -
