Daredevil (Matt Murdock) is a blind super-hero in the Marvel Universe.

History

As a boy, Matt Murdock was raised single-handedly by his father "Battlin'" Jack Murdock.  Jack was a boxer of some reknown.  Murdock's mother left him at a young age, and the two did not meet until much later in life.   Even at a young age, Matt was given by his father a strong sense of right and wrong, making him choose a life dedicated to studying law.  Matt first acquired his powers at the age of 11 when a passing vehicle containing a highly acidic radioactive substance nearly crashed into an elderly man.  The young man dove and pushed the old man out of the way, only to get the toxic substances in his eyes, blinding him forever. The substances also effected his body, causing him to gain super-human senses and a radar sense that makes him aware of his surroundings. This massively increased his senses making them become superhuman. His hearing in particular had increased above all others and being so good that his hearing tells him where everything is conjuring an imaginary image and a rough outline of everything in his surroundings in his head indicated by the precision of his hearing. His touch also being so extremly increased as of his hearing that he can run his fingers over the page of a normal book and know what it says by just feeling the immensely thin layer of printed ink.

. A couple of years after the accident of Matt's blindness, When Matt was a teenager after watching one of his father's fights. His father was mugged by a gang of thug’s outside the building and they murdered him leaving Matt to live until adulthood orphaned. From the day his father died he  swore to protect the innocent and fight for justice preventing others from suffering the way he did. He then trained himself testing his senses and training his agility while also training himself in hand to hand combat.

Once becoming an adult and trained himself to maximum potential he became DareDevil. In his early comics he wears a yellow and black suit but soon developed to red. He fought crime and was known by the public gaining the nickname "The Man Without Fear". He suit features two devil horns and a logo baring two D's connected by the bottom and top corner. He is also seen holding a guide stick (Although not needing one) showing the logo along the side and can convert to a grapple and the stick shortening to a handle. He also is seen holding two short red sticks used for combat. Matt is a lawyer and lives in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York.
