One question that fans of the cartoon had was, since Negaduck's origin story makes it clear that he must know that Darkwing Duck is called Drake Mallard because he never tries to use it to his advantage. The comics revealed that the explanation was always with the public, since in the first episode Darkwing didn't want to use his civil identity, he always wanted to be a superhero, but he had to use his civil identity, because he couldn't adopt Gosalyn from another way, but Negaduck doesn't know that. When the cartoon became a comic book, Negaduck saw Lauchpaud coming out of a laundry with clothes on, one of them fell, but he didn't notice. And when Negaduck approached he saw that it was a robe and it was written "Drake Mallard" on it, and Negaduck was surprised that Drake uses his civilian identity, and finally used it against him.[[Category:Superheroes]]
