Destroyer (Sharon Carter) is an superheroine in the Marvel Universe, an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and an ally to Captain America.
Origin[]
Inspired by her aunt, a hero in World War II and ally of Captain America, Sharon Carter decided to serve her country and through her ability and determination became a high-ranking S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
Biography[]
Sharon Carter was born the daughter of wealthy socialites Harrison and Amanda Carter in Richmond, Virginia. She was also the niece to Margeret "Peggy" Carter, a freedom fighter during the Second World War as well as ally to Captain America prior to his apparent death. When Peggy returned home following World War II, she told young Peggy about her adventures with Captain America.
As she grew older, Sharon Carter trained and prepared for her chosen career: an agent of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D. She was codenamed Agent 13 and on her first assignment was to retrieve a powerful explosive stolen from THEM, the governing body of the terrorist group HYDRA. By coincidence, she passed by Steve Rogers, the secret identity of Captain America, who was surprised to see someone who looked so much like Peggy and followed her.
