Diamond Lil is a superheroine in the Marvel Universe and a member of Alpha Flight.
Origin[]
Lillian Crawley-Jeffries was a waitress who discovered she had super-strength, and was recruited to the team Omega Flight, before joining Alpha Flight.
Biography[]
Very little has been revealed about Lillian Crawley-Jeffries childhood, her discovery of her powers and her recruitment to Department H. Prior to being recruited by Department H she was a super strong and super durable mutant working as a waitress in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Shortly after joining Department H, she had a brief affair with fellow Gamma Flight member Madison Jeffries. She was soon recruited by Delphine Courtney to Omega Flight using a mind control device as part of a plot by the organization known as the Brand Corporation and its vice-president Jerome Jaxon.
Delphine and Jerome Jaxon were defeated and Diamond Lil was pardoned for her criminal behaviour while she was mind controlled. Lillian and Alpha Flight member Heather Hudson had a rivalry stemming from Lillian's attraction to Jeffries, now the superhero called Box and Heather's fiancee. The two set aside their differences and worked well together. For a time, Lil had a cancer scare but after surgery with an alien laser repurposed for medical use, it was removed and found to be a benign cyst. Jeffries and Lillian then retired from active duty and got married. Lillian became worried, however, when it appeared Madison was becoming addicted to adventuring as Box and returned to the role on multiple occasions.
