Doorman is a superhero bouncer and doorman in the animated TV series The Tick, which was based on the comic of the same name.
Doorman is voiced by Maurice LaMarche.
Origin[]
No origin is provided for Doorman.
Biography[]
Doorman's history is unknown. He was first seen working as a doorman for the superhero night club known as the Comet Club. When The Tick and his superhero friends decided to visit the club, he let them in, except for The Tick's sidekick Arthur, due to the club's "No Sidekicks Allowed" policy. However, when a supervillain sneaked past him, Arthur tried to warn him, but to no avail. Eventually, Doorman was overwhelmed by the smell of Arthur's crime-fighting ally, the Sewer Urchin, and Arthur was able to warn the Tick and the two defeated the villain.
Personality[]
Jim is friendly and polite but does not brook disobeying the rules, particularly not letting sidekicks in the club.
