The Duck Avenger (Paperinik in its native Italian) is a superhero version of the animated character Donald Duck as he appears in comic books.
Origin[]
After accidentally inheriting an old Villa, Donald discovers that it once belonged to a burglar and vigilante Fantomius. Deciding to use his methods to get revenge on his tormentors, Donald becomes the Duck Avenger, first for petty revenge and eventually to become a crime fighter.
Biography[]
- Due to the character of Donald Duck having a long and storied history unrelated to superhero fiction, this article will focus primarily on Donald's career in this identity.
Donald Duck, a duck living in Duckberg, began his career as a superhero after he inherited an old villa outside of town. In fact, Donald would learn it was intended for his cousin Gladstone Gander, the world's luckiest duck, but was content to keep it for himself. While investigating the estate, Donald would learn that an earlier owner who was of his bloodline was a Robin Hood-esque hero thief known as Fantomallard. Using a book found on the estate, Donald learns of Fantomallard and his specialized car decked out with special gadgets.
