The Elementals is a superhero team and the stars of the comic book series of the same name.
Origin[]
When an evil sorcerer tried to attack the world by disrupting its natural elements, the spirits of those elements responded by finding humans recently killed by said elements. Now empowered with elemental abilities, these people teamed up to save the world from evil.
History[]
Lord Saker was an ancient evil sorcerer who was plotting to control the Earth via a tool called the Shadowspear. An innate universal force responded by taking four people who died in accidents, each related to one of the four elements (fire, water, wind and earth), and brought them back to life. They all found they had powers related to the element that caused their death and then found they were dutybound to defeat Saker on the Earth's behalf.
The members included Tommy Czuchra (who was crushed by a landslide), Becky Golden (who died by drowning), Jeff Murphy (who asphyxiated in a helicopter crash) and Jeanette Crane (who was burned to death by a serial arsonist). The group became a superhero team and would eventually gain public attention as the first real life superheroes and the first people known to return from the dead.
