Fang (Jake Ketchum) is a superhero in the DC Universe and a member of the superhero team/rock band of monsters, Scare Tactics.
Origin[]
Jake Ketchum was a runaway from his clan of werewolves who was captured by the evil organization called the R-Complex. After he and other monstrous captives were freed, they decided to start a rock band while staying ahead of their former captors.
Biography[]
Jake Ketchum was born into a werewolf clan deep in the Appalacian mountains, the son of a werewolf mother and either a werewolf father or a human father. His mother cheated on his father with a mysterious person who may have simply been a regular human. Warden, Jake's adoptive father, resented Jake's mother for cheating on him but became his caregiver after his mother died when Jake was still an infant. As he grew older, he found he was to be entered into an arranged marriage with a werewolf woman named Pearl Kingsbridge, in the hopes of creating a peaceful pact between the families two warring clans. Jake, not wanting to be married or bossed around by anyone, ran away from home. Pearl later committed suicide and Jake felt guilt that he carried with him for that.
At some point he was captured by the evil organization R-Complex, who had kidnapped several other paranormal entities. He, along with four other prisoners, managed to escape and relied on each other to stay alive and ahead of their enemies.
