- Fern is the first Orange Ranger to be part of the main team in Power Rangers history, and the first Ranger to be called the Orange Ranger (excluding Boom from Power Rangers S.P.D. as his Orange Ranger appearance was merely a dream sequence)
- Fern draws her power from the fictional Solonosaurus, however when she morphs her dinosaur spirit is shown to be a Velociraptor
- Fern’s Orange Ranger helmet is a repainted Dino Fury Pink Ranger helmet with horns added to it.
