Blade is a half-vampire anti-hero in the Marvel Universe who has dedicated his life to fighting vampires.
Origin[]
After his mother was bitten by a vampire, Eric Brooks grew to be a half-vampire with all of the powers of a vampire but fewer of their weaknesses. As he grew, he dedicated his life to ridding the Earth of vampires by any means necessary.
Biography[]
Eric Brooks was born in Soho, London in 1929 to Lucas and Tara Cross. Lucas was a member of the Order of Tyrana, a secret organization with a keen interest in the occult, specifically vampires. Cross was eventually taken prisoner to Latveria but not before he sent Tara away to England under a new name; Vanessa Brooks.
When his mother was giving birth to him a vampire was feasting on her. Later in his teenagehood he saw a man being attacked by vampires and Blade helped him. The man turned out to be afari a feared vampire slayer and in return afari trained him to be a vampire slayer.

Appears in an episode of Ultimate Spider man. In Super Hero Squad Online, Blade had weapons that were a mix of normal weapons and weapons against vampires: a silver sword, a laser pistol in sunlight and a rocket-propelled grenade (with garlic). Blade movie.
