Biography[]
Matt Murdock was the son of Jonathan Murdock, a professional boxer and an unnamed mother in Manhattan in New York. Though the order of events isn't clear, in his youth Matt both lost his father after he was murdered by criminals for failing to throw a fight and he gained superhuman senses following an unusual accident. Matt, having promised to make something of himself, used the money his father left him to pursue a law degree. There, Matt met Elektra Natchios, a fellow student at the same campus, and the two fell in love. However, when Elektra confronted a rich family for covering up their youngest, Trey, for raping her best friend, she threatened them, to which they retaliated by burning down her family's business. Though Matt was able to find evidence to get Trey arrested, though his connections once again got him released.
