Nick Fury is a super spy and director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Ultimate Marvel Universe, based on the Marvel Universe character also named Nick Fury.
Origin[]
Experimented on by the secret government experiment Project: Rebirth, Nick Fury was given super strength. Though he escaped from the government, he re-enlisted in the army and over many years became the director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D.
Biography[]
Nick Fury's youth is largely unknown save for that he was born in the early 20th century. A soldier during World War II, he, along with soldier Private Fisk and Canadian paratrooper James Howlett, were arrested for looting during the invasion of Sicily. As punishment, Fury became a part of an unethical government experiment to develop super powers in humans, with Fury taken to a prison with other black prisoners.
