Firestorm is the name of several superheroes in the DC Universe, all of whom have similar origins and powers.
Origin
Caught in a nuclear accident, high school student Ronnie Raymond and Nobel Prize-winning physicist Martin Stein found themselves merged into a single entity with transmutation powers. The two found they could fuse and unfuse at will, in order to transform into the superhero Firestorm.
