When Kim Brand wanted to help the superhero The Fly fight a criminal who had planned two simultaneous crimes to befuddle his foe, Turan, the entity who gave the Fly his power, gave Kim a fly ring. With this power, Kim was able to become Fly-Girl and worked at the Fly's crimefighting partner.
