The Frightful Four are the evil zombie counterparts to the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Multiverse.

Origin

Once the superhero team known as the Fantastic Four, the Frightful Four were infected by a bizarre interdimensional virus that turned them into the living dead.

History

The history of the Frightful Four is largely unrevealed, though it is strongly indicated that, up to the point they became zombies, their history is very similar to the past of the Fantastic Four of the Marvel Universe.  When an entity resembling the superhero The Sentry arrived on Earth carrying a strange virus, he infected a number of superheroes, including the superhero team the Fantastic Four, turning them into flesh craving zombies.
