Dr. Peter Venkman , Dr. Ray Stantz , Dr. Egon Spengler and Winston Zeddemore are four ghostbusters who are part detectives and exterminators who chases ghost who is terrorizing the city of new york and the people. It's up to them to stop them. Ghostbusters business started out with Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr Ray Stanz and Egon Spengler who were ex university research scientist who were fired from Columbia University.
Before they were fired, they encountered their first ghost in the New York Public Library and decided to start their own business called Ghostbusters. They set up shop in an abandoned firehouse and start renovating it and they became instant celebrities overnight with they caught their first ghost Slimer. They created a proton packs and a ghost trap that helps them catch ghost. Winster Zeddmore an ex-construction worker joined the team. After that Ghostbusters mania was born.

- Dr. Peter Venkman - (leader and the founder of the ghostbusters). In the first seasons of the cartoon show, he was voiced by the late Lorenzo Music.
- Dr. Raymond Stanz - (the founder of the ghostbusters and the heart of the team)
- Dr. Egon Spengler - (the founder of the ghostbusters, second in command of the ghostbusters and the resident genius of the team). In the movies, he was played by the late Harold Ramis.
- Winston Zeddmore - (member of the ghostbusters and driver and pilot and mechanic of the ghostbusters)

- Louis Telly - (accountant and tax attorney of the ghostbusters)
