His father was an alcoholic who beat him up alot. He always tried to make his father proud ( I know that feel bro) but failed. His father always preferred his brother Mace so, realizing that he would never make his father proud he became a crook. Mace later made Guy join the good side since, Mace was now a cop. When he gets recruited to the Green Lantern Corps he becomes friends with John Stewart, Kilowog and Kyle Rayner, but becomes bitter enemy of Hal Jordan. There he had bunch of adventures: he finds he part vulgarian, he dies and lives again, he becomes a red lantern then green again. Then in the end he becomes the leader of the Red Lantern Corps (red for the emotion: RAGE!!!)
