Hammerhead Hannigan is a minor villain in the animated TV series Darkwing Duck.

He is voiced by Hal Rayle in "Darkly Dawns the Duck" and Tad Stones in "In Like Blunt"

No origin was given for Hammerhead Hannigan.

Biography[]

Not much is known about Hammerhead except he is a career criminal who first encountered Darkwing Duck as a member of Taurus Bulba's gang. He was responsible for helping Bulba kidnap Gosalin and murdering her father, with the assistance of Hoof and Mouth. He was later defeated and imprisoned by Darkwing Duck.

Hannigan would later turn up at a gathering of villains and criminals organized by Phineas Sharp and later turned on him when the intell Phineas was planning to sell was replaced with a grocery list by Darkwing Duck and Derek Blunt. He has not been seen since.

Comics[]

Hammerhead was later seen as one of the many criminals freed by Negaduck in the hopes that one of them would finish off Darkwing in a prison riot.

Personality[]

Hammerhead is a short-tempered thug who often makes bad or reckless decisions when angered. He was the victim of Taurus Bulba's wrath when he failed, at which point he tended to turn on his subordinates, Hoof and Mouth, in kind.

Skills and Abilities[]

Hammerhead is a career criminal, as well as a tough fighter, usually using his horns to ram his enemies. Though he has been put in a leadership position and weilds handguns, he doesn't seem to be particularly skilled in either field.

Hammerhead Hannigan appeared in the comic book adaptation of the Darkwing Duck episode "Darkly Dawns the Duck".

Video Games[]

Hammerhead Hannigan is a boss character in the video game Disney Adventures - Mickey's Color Adventures for Sega Genesis (1992) and Game Gear (1994).
