Jackpot (Alana Jobson) is a superheroine in the Marvel Universe.
History[]
Eager to be a superhero, Alana Jobson located Sara Ehret, the retired superhero known Jackpot, and offered to pay the hero for her codename and real identity. Seeing this as a real chance to live a normal life, Sara agreed and let Alana take her place as both Jackpot and as Sara Ehret on the new Initiative superhero team. Unknown to anyone, Alana was taking a cocktail of dangerous drugs to mimic having powers.
Jackpot met Spider-Man and the two soon became crime-fighting partners. During a fight with the villain known as Blindside, Jackpot was injected with with Blindside's blinding neurotoxin. The toxin had a fatal interaction with the drugs Jackpot used to fuel her powers and she died.
Spider-Man learned about Alana taking Sara Ehret's place and confronted the real Sara. He blamed her for leading Alana to her death, leading Sara to become Jackpot again to atone for her mistake.
