Jackpot (Sara Ehret) is a superheroine in the Marvel Universe
History[]
Sara Ehret was a scientist working on a cure for Parkinson's disease. One of the potential cures was a serum called "Lot 777". Sara was accidentally injected with the serum, and fell into a coma. When she awoke four months later, Sara found that Lot 777 had completely rewrote her DNA and she now had superhuman strength. She registered her powers with the government and became the hero known as Jackpot.
However Sara soon found that she hated being a superhero, and quit to resume her normal life with her husband (Scott) and daughter (Maddie). When a young woman named Alana Jobson offered to take her place as both Jackpot and as Sara Ehret, Sara saw this a perfect chance to put heroics behind her. However Alana was taking dangerous drugs to mimic having powers and was killed in battle. Spider-Man confronted Sara, blaming her for pushing her responsibilities onto a untrained rookie and leading her to her death.
Sara resumed her role as Jackpot to atone for Alana's death. But when a supervillain tracked her down and killed her husband, Sara and her daughter had to go into witness protection, with Sara taking Alana Jobson's name as her new identity and Maddie being renamed Syndey Jobson.
