Jonah Hex is a western antihero in the DC Universe with connections to the superhero community. He first appeared in All Star Western Volume 2 #10 (1972).

Biography[]
Jonah Woodson Hex was born to Woodson and Virginia Hex around the year 1838 in the American West. His mother disappeared from his life at a young age, leaving him to be raised by his father. Woodson was an abusive alcoholic who trained his son to be tough with cruelty. Despite his abusiveness, Woodson gave his son impressive strength and gunfighting skills which would become invaluable later on.
