Limey Gubbins and Congo Smith are ruthless ivory hunters working in the illegal trade. The pair take over an African village to base their operations. The village shaman, Nyoko, is whipped to death by Congo.
The pair then are shown the way to the Realm of the Mist Gods by Nyoko's ghost, whom Congo fails to recognize. The men don't realize they are in the realm, and soon find they are inextricably lost. Limey begins to lose his mind. Congo tries to beat some sense into Limey, but accidentally kills him in the process.
