Biography
Maxwell Lord IV was the son of Maxwell Lord III and Naomi Lord in the state of New York. Maxwell Lord III was an English Professor at Yale University and it is known that at some point his son disappointed him with certain life choices, though the details remain murky. One day, Maxwell Lord IV returned home to find that his father committed suicide, a result of guilt stemming from the revelation that his company produced a highly carcinogenic product.
Later, Maxwell's mother convinced Maxwell to gain power via super-powered people, sparking a plan to take over the Justice League for himself. Following an event known as the Crisis, the Justice League was scattered, sparking a plan by Lord to insinuate himself into the team.
