The Melter is a supervillain in the Marvel Universe and is an enemy of Iron Man.
Origin[]
Bruno Horgan was a businessman who went bankrupt due to safety problems. Believing Tony Stark was to blame, Bruno took one of his inventions, a machine designed to melt metal, and turned it into a weapon to get revenge on Iron Man as The Melter.
Biography[]
Bruno Horgan's early life is largely unknown. It is known that he was married for a time, but the specifics have never been revealed. He became an industrialist who specialized in the development, design and manufacture of weapons and munitions for the U.S. government. However, after an investigation, it was revealed that Horgan's company was using inferior materials, the news of which ruined his business and pushed him into bankruptcy. All of his defense contracts were transferred to industrialist and weapons manufacturer Tony Stark and Bruno decided to take revenge out on him.
While one of Bruno's factory's were being dismantled, Bruno discovered a strange phenomena in regard's to one of his company's radars.
