Misfit (Charlotte "Charlie" Gage-Radcliffe) is a fictional character in the DC Comics Universe . She first appeared in Birds of Prey #96 (September 2006) as a wannabe Batgirl, before taking on her own identity as Misfit.

OriginEdit

After discovering a power to teleport at a young age, Charlie Gage-Radcliffe once tried to save her family with her ability, only to discover that her power doesn't allow her to transport other living things.  Charlies later re-emerged as the new Batgirl and then was persuaded to drop that identity.  She later reappeared with a new name: the Misfit.

BiographyEdit

Charlotte Gage-Radcliffe was raised by her mother (name unknown) and never met her father (name also unknown) in the worst slum in Metropolis.  From an early age, Charlotte (Charlie to her friends and loved ones)realized she had super powers, including superhuman stregnth and teleportation (which she called "bouncing").  She was also a big fan of the superheroine Batgirl, who was an influence on her as an aspirational figure.  When her landlord set her family's building on fire for insurance money, Charlie tried to use her powers to save her family, only to find that she couldn't take other people with her powers.
