The Modern Age of Comic Books (also called the Dark Age of Comic Books) is an era in comic fiction between the year 1985 to the present.
The Beginning
Though 1985 is largely considered to be the beginning of the Modern Age of Comic Books, it is often debated as many defining developments of the era also overlap with the late Bronze Age of Comic Books, such as the increase in popularity of darker themes and character development beyond black and white morals.
