Moon Girl is a superheroine in the Marvel Universe and is partners with Devil Dinosaur.

Origin[]

Lunella Lafayette was a child genius who accidentally opened a gateway to a parallel universe, bringing forth the being known as the Devil Dinosaur.  She soon gained a psychic link to the dinosaur and the two worked together as a duo.

Biography[]

Lunella Lafayette was born in New York City to Mr. and Mrs. Lafayette (full names currently unrevealed).  From a young age, Lunella had shown super-intelligence to rival the world's smartest people, which she used to create fantastic scientific marvels.  Due to this and her daydreaming, her classmates at Public School 20 Anna Silver often mocked her with the nickname "Moon Girl".

Lunella became fascinated with the Kree, an alien race that had visited the Earth on multiple occasions, often for war.  She was able to create her own device to track down Kree technology and used it to find an Omni-Wave Projector, an object used both as a weapon and a communication device by the Kree. When her school teacher Coach Hrbek accidentally activated the projector, it created a portal to the alternate universe known as Dinosaur World. This allowed the vicious Australopithecus-like inhabitants, the Killer-Folk as well as the giant creature known as the Devil Dinosaur, who was looking to avenge his partner Moon-Boy's apparent murder at the hands of the Killer-Folk chieftain Thorn-Teeth.

Lunella ended up getting her backpack strap caught in Devil Dinosaur's teeth and as she was carried away, used an aerial invention to lure it away from the police, who were looking to stop it.
