Motorhead is an antihero character in the Dark Horse Universe.

Frank Fletcher was a drifter going from town to town before he was given superpowers by an alien artifact, which cursed him with telekinetic powers he didn't want and became Motorhead, a mysterious drifter who simply wants to be left alone.

There is very little known about the life of Frank Fletcher before he arrived in Steel Harbor.  What is known is that he was a drifter, often taking work in construction or bouncing due to his strong physique.  At some point, he came into contact with an alien object known as the Motor, which merged with him and gave him telekinesis.  The Motor itself is an alien artifact that was first taken by the alien warlord Septenarius and later by the entity that would be known as Vortex before accidentally being dropped on Earth.

Frank also suffered from hearing voices in his head that were either coming from the Motor or in fact a result of possibly being schizophrenic.  He later drifted into Steel Harbor and got a job as a bouncer at the Hammerhead Bar and Grille (owned by bounty hunter Barb Wire).  None of his co-workers were aware of his true nature, even after he managed to kill two aliens who arrived at and threatened the Hammerhead.

Eventually, Frank got caught up in a gang war in Steel Harbor, where he used his powers to defeat all of the Prime Movers, a powerful conglomorate of street gangs in order to save Barb Wire.
