Mysterion is the secret superhero identity of Kenny McCormick in the TV series South Park. Mysterion is voiced by Matt Stone.
Origin[]
Constantly reborn, Kenny McCormick no longer fears death and decided to use his bravery to fight crime as "Mysterion".
Biography[]
Kenny McCormick was born the son of Stuart and Sharon McCormick in South Park, Colorado with his brother Kevin and his sister Karen.
Kenny is aware of the fact that he has "died" many times, so much so to the point that it was scarred him, even from a young age. Knowing he is incapable of death, Kenny donned the cowl of Mysterion, in order to protect his town from the crime that has taken over. Mysterion has on several occasions shown to be apparently feared by many people, primarily criminals or other wrong-doers, and uses fear-based stealth tactics to his advantage in a fight. Kenny's younger sister considers the vigilante to be a "Guardian Angel", and uses his alter ego as Mysterion to protect her.
As Mysterion, Kenny found himself the focus a one-sided rivalry with his friend Cartman, trying to make a name for himself as superhero The Coon, who was jealous of Mysterion but could not discern his real identity. Mysterion's strategy is to ignore him, instead focusing on crimefighting and leaving the petulant child alone.
