The Outlaws are a superhero team lead by the Red Hood in the DC Universe.
Origin[]
The Red Hood, a vigilante and Batman's former sidekick, decided to pull together a team of superheroes who were also criminals to form a team called the Outlaws.
History[]
Formation[]
The formation of the Outlaws began when superhero Roy Harper (also known as Arsenal) was on trial for war crimes during the liberation of the nation of Qurac. He was freed by Jason Todd who wanted him for a super team of heroes who were also wanted criminals. Soon, they were joined by the alien heroine Starfire, who took them to the site of where she crashed landed on Earth, in an island in the Caribbean. Together, they chose to form a team working outside the law to fight threats to humanity.
First Mission[]
For their first mission, Todd was summoned by the monk Essence who wanted him and his team to investigate the murders of the member of the religious sect the All-Caste in Hong Kong. On arriving, they first fight and seemingly kill the criminal Suzie Su before battling the re-animated corpses of members of the All-Caste. Before they can leave after the battle, they encounter a figure named S'Aru, who promises to allow them to enter a room that can provide them answers about their enemies, but must take certain precious memories as collateral.
