Overman (the Superman of Earth 10) is an evil Nazi version of Superman in the DC Multiverse.

Origin[]

Overman's origins differ by universe. The origin of Earth-Seventeen's was that he was created by the government and went on an apocalyptic rampage. On Earth X, Kal-L was sent to parents of his dying world, landed in the Sudetenland and was studied and indoctrinated by the Nazis, becoming their champion.

Biography[]

Earth-Seventeen[]

Little is known of this version of Overman, save that the villain Psycho-Pirate, while connected with knowledge of other worlds, new he came from what he described as "a bad world. A world where everything went wrong."

Earth X[]

A native of the planet Krypton, Kal-L was sent to Earth by his parents to save him from his dying world. He landed in the Sudetenland in 1938 and Nazi scientists tore apart his spacecraft to give them an advance in their technology to help them win the war. At some point he appeared as a hero to Nazi Germany (presumably he was found and raised by the Nazis) and was appointed by Adolf Hitler to be one of the Third Reich's official heroes. He eventually joined the Gerechtigkeitliga (or Justice League Axis) as it's leader, where he met the other "heroes" of the Axis. He would later discover the existence of Kryptonite, a mineral capable of weakening and even killing him, and would use his powers to find and destroy every trace of it on Earth.

The Axis would later go on to use Overman's genetic material to produce two superhuman children. One would become a monster known as the Antihuman and the other one became a young girl later known as Overgirl. Overman learned to love Overgirl in a familial sense and regarded her as a cousin.

During a mutlverse threatening event known as the Final Crisis, Overgirl mysteriously disappeared and a Monitor, a being with the duty of monitoring the multiverse, named Zillo Valla claimed she could help find her. He assisted her, unaware that what she really needed was his blood to power her ship.  Valla took some of his blood and Overman tried to killed her in retaliation but was stopped by Billy Batson, who talked him down.  Together, he joined many Supermen from across the multiverse in order to defeat Mandrakk, an evil Monitor and returned to his homeworld.

Earth 10[]

A nearly identical figure existed in the world of Earth 10, a world very similar to Earth-10 and Earth X, both worlds where the Nazis won World War II and his background, as it is known, is very similar to that of his Earth X counterpart.  In the year 1956 on April 20th, Overman helped the Axis forces with their final conquest of Washington, D.C.  Overman later left the Earth for three years and explored the universe but on his return was horrified to see the final realization of the Holocaust. He was eventually defeated and overthrown by his once friend Jürgen Olsen. Overman was also kidnapped by the entity The Prophecy to steal his powers, among many alternate reality Supermen, only to be saved by the multiversal superhero team Justice Incarnate.

Personality[]

Specifics of Overman's personality vary from alternate universe counterpart but many specifics remain the same. Largely, Overman is a defender of the fascist empire he is a part of and a true believer in the cause, though one incarnation would become regretful of his actions.

Powers[]

Overman's powers come from Kryptonian physiology which gives him a wide and incredible array of powers, just like Superman.

Media[]

In TV special Crisis of Earth-x, was an evil version of Supergirl, called overgirl.
