Sauron is a super-villain from the Marvel Universe and a resident of the Savage Land.
Origin[]
When he was young, Karl Lykos discovered a group of Pteradon's, one of which bit him. Somehow, the bite mutated him, causing him to occasionally become a dinosaur like creature that can steal the life force of others.
Biography[]
Karl Lykos was born to a mother and father (whose named remain unrevealed). As a young boy, Karl travelled with his father to Tierra del Fuego on an expedition, along with Dr. Anderssen and her daughter Tanya. During the expedition Tanya was lost and when Karl found her she was trapped in a cave being attacked by pteranodons. Lykos managed to drive them off but not before receiving a sever bite from one of them,
Karl was saved by Dr. Anderssen's medical expertise but Karl and his daughter were so traumatized, the repressed the memory of the attacks. For reasons unknown, the bites caused a change in Karl Lykos' genetic structure, causing him to sometimes transform into a pteranodon-like humanoid at times.
