Biography

Shaktimaan received powers from seven mahagurus who trained and blessed him with "yogic shakti which was natural power." He was the chosen warrior against evil by siddha gurus of a cult named Suryavanshi. They are followers of the star God Sun. As part of training, he trained with Kundalini Yoga to awake the 7 chakras of body and gain 'supernatural' powers from them. To gain complete control over his powers he performed the ritual of death. However, this did not cause death but made him more alive than when he was a normal man. He also performed Yajna in which he entered the fire himself and dissolved his body in fire. Then, the five elements of life, i.e. fire, air, water, earth and space revived his body giving him special powers from them. Thus after leaving his mortal body he was given a superhuman form to fight against the evil in the world as Shaktimaan.

After Shaktimaan was created he set out to destroy his archenemy Kilvish. But, as the Mahaguru (Tom Alter) explained, Kilvish can only be defeated after evil is destroyed. Shaktimaan's mission is to destroy the sin within people, not the sinned people. Shaktimaan's adventures show him pursuing justice and saving his friends while Kilvish and his minions plot to defeat him.

Powers and abilities

Shaktimaan has superhuman powers which lie inside his body in his seven chakras of Kundalini attained through meditation. Shaktimaan worships God through the symbol Om. Truthfulness is his motto. He can even separate his body into five different bodies of fire, air, water, earth and space. He is an expert, skilled and intelligent fighter and has fought with super-skilled enemies. He possesses physical powers like unlimited speed (up to the speed of light), strength, durability as well as psychic powers like telepathy, teleportation, telekinesis etc.

Although he possesses godlike powers, his only weakness is a crystal (Papmani) possessed by Tamraj Kilvish which can be used to defeat and even kill him. This makes him powerless because it is filled with the evil of the world and is the source of the black powers. But he regains his strength after the crystal is taken away from him. He can be killed if the crystal is placed in front of him and he is treated violently to the verge of death.

Shaktimaan's powers are virtually limitless. He can do practically anything he imagines. The only limit to his powers is his own belief in himself and his knowledge of how to manifest his powers. His powers come from his chakras. (Note: Although we’ll call them chakras in the vedas, in the series dialogue they will also be called energy centers.)

The seven chakras in his body which give him powers are:

Energy Chakra (1): This chakra gives Shaktimaan super strength, enabling him to fly, shoot fire from his hands, emit rays from his fingertips, blow a stream of freezing air, or send out protective force fields which nothing can penetrate (provided he can maintain his willpower and not give in). Shaktimaan's strength allows him to physically penetrate anything and lift any object.
Creative Chakra (2): This chakra gives Shaktimaan the power to manifest things out of thin air, but they can be unstable and comically fall apart or cause other problems if Shaktimaan is distracted and loses concentration.
Astral Chakra (3): This chakra gives Shaktimaan the power to control his astral body (a semi-transparent, ethereal duplicate of himself) which can fly, walk through walls, spy on others, see inside objects, etc.
Heart Chakra (4): This chakra gives Shaktimaan the power to control the will of others, but only for good. He can will people to do the right thing, see the error in their ways, or simply make someone buy him lunch. This power is most useful when Shaktimaan needs to stop someone who is under the control of Kilvish from doing evil.
Vibration Chakra (5): This chakra gives Shaktimaan the power to control all types of vibrations, including sound waves, light waves, shock waves, healing warmth, etc. He can also use it to hear ultrasonic sounds or infrasonic sounds, and can speed up the vibrations of his own atoms allowing him to transport himself in space or time. This can be very useful for getting out of dangerous situations.
Psychic Chakra (6): This chakra gives Shaktimaan the power of the "third eye" which enables him to read minds, to erase momories of a person and to see anywhere in the world at any distance. He can sense impending danger and see things at any corner of the world. And, he can even revive a dead being (by combining his powers of 5 Elements).
Crown Chakra (7): This chakra connects Shaktimaan to the divine and spiritual nature. It also allows for spirituality to integrate into physical lives. The Crown Chakra is directly aligned to seek an intimate relationship with the cosmos. Shaktimaan can change, create or distroy entire universe and can do time travel by this chakra.and he also manipulate time.ability to control multiverse and also destroy the multiverse in a single attack.

But if he will use his powers illogically, his powers will strictly taken back by his seven mahagurus, especially those powers which brakes the laws of nature, e.g. powers like time travel, revive a dead being and (change, create or distroy entire universe), powers like these can be used only in very extreme conditions when entire universe will in danger. Thus, Shaktimaan uses his powers in limit according to the situation if Shaktimaan used his full potential he can also manipulate reality. Shaktimaan can also move by the speed of mind which is faster than the speed of light.

Five elements of nature give shaktimaan powers to control fire, air, water, earth and space.

The five elements of nature which give him power are:

Fire Element - Fire element gives Shaktimaan all types of fire related powers like flame thrower, fire breath, heat generation, light generation, fire generation, fire balls thrower, can do fire explosion, fire telekinesis, limited space survival, flight etc. And give resistant to any type of fire attacks.

Water Element - Water element gives Shaktimaan all types of water related powers like Water thrower, Deep and fast swimming, water temperature change ability, under water breath, flight at small limit, freezing breath, rain formation, water telekinesis, water cutter etc. And resistant to any type of water attacks.

Air Element - Air element gives Shaktimaan all types of air related powers like wind blower, tornado formation, telekinesis (by using air of surroundings), climate or temperature changing, cyclone formation, weight lightness, float/flight (limited to the Earth atmosphere) etc. And give resistant to any type of air attacks.

Earth Element - Earth element gives Shaktimaan all types of earth related powers like rock/soil formation, rock/soil thrower, high strength, super durability, High jump, fast digging ability, underground rock telekinesis, control on plants, swamp creation etc. And give resistant to any type of earth attacks.

Space Element - Space element gives Shaktimaan all types of space/energy related powers like energy absorption, teleportation (everywhere in whole universe), space survivability, flight (at the speed of light), cosmic energy beams, cosmic energy blasts etc. And give resistant to any type of energy attacks.
- Sometimes, Space Element also referred as Sky Element. However, Sky is like a synonym of the Space. Thus, it doesn't matter which way you want to call it either Space or Sky, both are correct. But technically, Space would be a more correct name.

Shaktimaan can take the form of a one individual element for using it's individual element powers or he can divide himself in his five respective element forms, all together for using their powers together. And, by using his all five element powers at once he can even revive a dead being. But, it is out of the limit of his laws. (Reason is already mentioned above).

Nurturing, generous, and care giving and seeks to draw all things together with itself, makes super energetic, develops super human strength like strong abilities.

2. Swadhishthan Chakra

Water element control

Ability to live in water, control of the temperature of a water body by the desire. Fearlessness, articulate, calmness, cleverness, fickleness and introspective, self-contained and self-sufficient. Penetrating, critical and scrutinising, seeking knowledge and understanding abilities. Super high speed of swimming, knowledge of languages of aquatic animals.

3 Manipura Chakra

Complete knowledge of yoga, can live without water, food or air, flight, can control heat waves to generate fire, invisibility, velocity almost equal to light. 2D Animation

Shaktimaan: The Animated Series is a 2011 English-language, Indian 2D animated television show based on the live-action series of the same name. Produced by Reliance Animation in association with Accel Animation Studios, the series centers around Vehaan Arya, a young college student who uses his yogic superpowers to become Shaktimaan and defeat the evil forces of Kilvish, who wants to destroy the world.

But it is not exactly same to the live action series of Shaktimaan. This 2D animated series have many major differences like Shaktimaan's suit changes, a lot difference in the power levels, changes in almost whole storyline and change in names e.g.- Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkar Nath Shastri changed into Vehaan Arya and many more.
