Spider-Woman (May Parker and previously known as Spider-Girl) is a superhero in the Marvel Multiverse from a future where Peter Parker (Spider-Man) had a daughter who grew up to be a superhero like him.
Origin[]
The daughter of the original Spider-Man, she chose to follow in his footsteps when her powers started to develop when she entered her teens.
Biography[]
May "Mayday" Parker was the daughter of Mary Jane Watson-Parker and Peter Parker, the superhero known as Spider-Man. During the day of her birth, May was kidnapped by a criminal who worked for Peter Parker's archnemesis, the Green Goblin. The child was later retreived by Kaine, a flawed clone of Peter and former enemy, who brought the child back to her rightful parents.
Afterwards, Spider-Man engaged in a final battle with the Green Goblin, a battle he won at the price of his leg. Though Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four offered him a prosthetic leg, Peter instead decided to see it as a sign that he should retire from crimefighting. For years, Peter and Mary Jane aimed for a normal life for her, hoping she wouldn't have the same powers Peter did.
May grew up and lead a relatively normal life until age 15, when she started developing the very same powers her father had. When Norman Osborn's grandson Normie became the new Green Goblin, May decided to use her powers to stop him and using an old Spider-Man costume, became Spider-Girl to defeat him. After that, May decided to continue with her crime-fighting and her parents, with some reservation, supported her new calling.
