The Star Sapphires (AKA The Star Sapphire Corps and the Violet Lantern Corps) is a team of warriors known for their capacity for love.
Origin[]
Former Oans known as the Zamarons created a special gem out of parasitic crystal, allowing spurned lovers to seek revenge as Star Sapphires.
Trivia[]
The team already had two male members, first Kyle Rayner when he was able to use all the rings of all the teams, and the second was Guy Gardner to weaken the dark influence of the red lantern ring, but he was unable to use it properly (because is not in love and does not have love as a strong emotion). For Kyle, the uniform was just the green lantern uniform with a different color and one and a different symbol as it is with all the lanterns teams, as Guy had already changed the uniform red lantern to a black outfit with the team symbol, when won the other ring, his clothes now have the two symbols.
Media[]
Appears in Green Lantern Animated Series, DC Universe Online and Lego Batman 3.
