Stargirl (Courtney Whitmore) is a superheroine in the DC Universe.
Origin[]
The stepdaughter of the golden age hero, Stripesy, Courtney found tech her stepfather had kept when he worked with the Star-Spangled Kid. Courtney modified the tech to become the new Star-Spangled Kid. When Starman gave her his Cosmic Staff, Courtney changed her name to Stargirl.
Powers[]
Stargirl can use her Cosmic Converter Belt to shoot star shaped light bursts from her hands, and wield a measure of superhuman strength and agility. She can also wield the Cosmic Staff which allows her to manipulate light and gravitational energies and fly.
