Thor Girl (Tarene) is a superheroine in the Marvel Universe, and a cosmic being who transformed herself into Thor’s cousin.

Origin[]

Tarene was a cosmic energy being destined to evolve all sentient beings into a higher form of life. When Thanos destroyed her homeworld she was saved by Thor. Tarene was so grateful for Thor’s help that she wanted to use her powers to help him. Using her growing cosmic powers, Tarene copied Thor’s powers and magic hammer and transformed herself into a younger, female version of Thor called Thor Girl. She also assumed the human identity of Tara Olson (the “cousin” of Thor’s civilian identity, Jake Olson).

When Thor was nearly defeated by the demon Surtur, Thor Girl sacrificed all of her cosmic powers to save him, leaving her with only the powers that she had copied from Thor.

Returning to Earth, Thor Girl later joined the Avengers Initiative .
