The Thunderiders (AKA Team America) are a superhero team/motorcycle stunt team in the Marvel Universe.

Origin[edit | edit source]

The result of an experiment by the terrorist group HYDRA, five motorcycle stunt men discovered their connections and their shared powers, which they used to fight crime as Team America (later as the Thunderiders).

History[edit | edit source]

Honcho (James McDonald), Wolf, R. U. Reddy (Winthrop Roan Jr.), Wrench (Leonard Hebb) and Cowboy (Luke Merriweather) were the members of a motorcycle stunt team known as Team America.  In fact, the members were mutants with a very unique power: a mental link that not only allowed them to share information, but also to become a gesalt entity in times of stress that combines all their minds, strength and skills creating an entity known as the Marauder.  Unlike many mutants whose powers occurred naturally, each member's parents were unknowningly part of the same experiments conducted by the terrorist group HYDRA.
