Warbird is a superhero in the Marvel Universe and was inspired by Captain Marvel's old identity of Warbird.
Origin[]
The child who would be known as Warbird was born to a Wakandan human and a Shi'ar alien. After her father disappeared, she used her training since birth and her retractable wings to find out the truth as Warbird.
History[]
The woman known as Warbird was the daughter of a telepath from Wakanda and an alien woman from the Shi'ar empire. When her mother was ordered to leave Earth, Warbird was left with her father. Her father went to study a mystical phenomena in a strange south Asian country known as Sin-Cong. He never returned, and Warbird went to find him. As her hybrid nature caused her to develop powers, Warbird designed a costume inspired by the costume Captain Marvel wore when she went by the codename Warbird. She joined up with other superheroes to investigate Sin-Cong as strange black energies had formed a dome over the entire country.
Powers[]
As a human/Shi'ar hybrid, Warbird has manifested wings due to the Shi'ar's avian heritage that allow her to fly. She also has razor-sharp claws on her fingertips and a measure of superhuman strength.
Warbird later developed the power to fire electrically-charged sonic blasts by screaming, a power that has been attributed to her father possessing psychic powers.
